This drawing titled "I release" was created during the tragic murder of George Floyd, another life taken due to racial injustice that exists in our world. Worldwide protests have followed to end systemic racism. I created it to express the overwhelming emotions I experienced when I heard about this tragic event. The drawing allowed me to release and process all the emotions that had been building up inside me since that day. I found solace in my creativity, and through the use of lines and patterns, I was able to express what was buried deep within me.
